European Initiative for Education

The "European Initiative for Education" (EIE) is a Private Non Profit Education and Training Association located in Wiener Neustadt / Austria. Here the association ownes a modern computer lab equiped with modern laptops, a Windows network, an interctive board and other teaching equipment. The computer lab is mobile so the association offers courses also in other European countries.

EIE’s mission is to endorse an innovative approach to education, training and culture.

About the association

The focus of the provided activities is on courses for adults and students; furthermore research work for better teaching methods is undertaken. The association is experienced in running courses on a high technical level by best educated trainers.
The association’s members of staff consist of people from different fields of business and professional teachers or trainers for adult education. All active trainers have at least one degree on university level; they have minimum 20 years of practice in teaching.
The association runs a lot of international courses, where the participants come from different (European) countries. Therefore the organizational competence in planning and managing international courses with learners from a multicultural background is on an extremely high level. The challenge of handling courses in foreign languages in a multinational and multicultural group is the daily work environment for our trainers.

Activities of the association

The association is well connected to formal teaching – some of the trainers are basically working in local high schools. From that background, special courses with students were organized during the last years. These courses have been offered to the students in in addition to subjects not taught in their regular curriculum; most of them deal with arts and creativity issues.
The association is well connected to the local authorities as well as to international training institutions..
The last research work of the association concerned the development of ICT supported classroom lessons; further researches affect the areas of eLearning, integration of multimedia based content into lessons and inclusion of students with migration background into classroom teaching.
